The quartet “Oldies but goldies” is an autobiographical and compositional tale of the clarinetist Mauro Negri, who chose some of his most representative pieces of the past, published in more than 25 albums as a leader and co-leader, to propose them in a new look with his historic mates Bebo Ferra at the acoustic guitar and Marco Micheli at the double bass, on drums and percussion there’s Mattia Barbieri, with whom Mauro Negri is permanent member of the new accordionist Richard Galliano’s quintet “A tribute to Nino Rota”.

Will be key players especially the compositions from the repertoire of the band “Trapezomantilo” that had its peak in the 90s and that helped to receive Mauro Negri “Top Jazz” Award as the best new Italian talent and years and awards awards for the original formation.

In the repertoire there will also be the new songs composed expressly for the quartet.
